Advisory board

The external advisory board consists of a representative of the donor and three internationally renowned neuroscientists outside of Indiana University to include broad academic, administrative, and industrial experience. Its primary roles are to provide advice to the dean of Indiana University Research regarding the center’s mission, asses the center’s progress in achieving its mission, and provide an independent review of the financial status of the center.

Steering committee

The steering committee, consisting of eight to ten members, includes the Gill Chairs and IU faculty appointed by Indiana University Research. This committee assists the Gill Director in managing the operations of the Gill Institute. Their responsibilities include advising faculty recruitment, planning the annual symposium, selecting awardees and Gill-sponsored speakers, and addressing other significant issues that impact the Institute and its operations.
