Biography

Sufiyan Tirmizi is an undergraduate student in the Lu Lab at the Gill Institute for Neuroscience studying biochemistry. He is interested in pursuing an MD/PhD dual degree after undergraduate. Sufiyan is interested in the protein NMNAT 2 and its effects on axonal health in order to find therapeutic answers for Alzheimer’s Disease. He currently works under PhD student Andrea Enriquez in Dr. Lu’s lab.
