Jim Wager-Miller earned his B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Chemistry from Western Washington University. His journey in research commenced with the study of polycystic kidney disease at Children's Hospital and at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Since 2000, Jim has been an integral part of Dr. Ken Mackie's lab, dedicated to exploring the effects of cannabinoids in the central and peripheral nervous systems. His research spans various facets of cannabinoid biology, as evidenced by his extensive contributions in scientific literature. Jim's expertise in laboratory techniques related to the endocannabinoid system has been documented in his publications, collaborating frequently with Dr. Mackie. Moreover, his research extends to understanding receptor dimerization, differential signaling of cannabinoids at G protein-coupled receptors, and the impact of cannabis exposure during important developmental periods.
Jim Wager-Miller's scientific journey showcases a commitment to understanding the complex interactions of cannabinoids with biological systems, making significant strides in elucidating their roles and potential therapeutic applications.
