Biography

Ian Peasley is an Undergraduate student in the Tracey Lab at the Gill Institute for Neuroscience. He is studying neuroscience, chemistry, and international studies. His lab researches nociception, the process by which the nervous system processes harmful stimuli. Currently, Ian is working on developing a novel larval gene marker in Drosophila to provide additional tools for identifying specific larvae during experimental studies. He hopes to go into medical research and help develop safer alternatives to current pain medications.
